In the Schoolyard

Defne is seven years old. She goes to a small school in İzmir. Every day, there is a break at ten o'clock. All the children go to the schoolyard.

Defne yedi yaşındadır. İzmir'de küçük bir okula gider. Her gün saat onda bir teneffüs vardır. Bütün çocuklar okul bahçesine gider.

There are many things in the schoolyard. There is a big slide and two swings. There is also a small football field. Children play in different groups.

Okul bahçesinde birçok şey vardır. Büyük bir kaydırak ve iki salıncak vardır. Küçük bir futbol sahası da vardır. Çocuklar farklı gruplarda oynar.

Defne likes to play with her best friend, Zeynep. They can jump rope very well. They also like to draw on the ground with chalk. They draw flowers and houses.

Defne, en iyi arkadaşı Zeynep'le oynamayı sever. İpi çok iyi atlayabilirler. Yerde tebeşirle çizim yapmayı da severler. Çiçekler ve evler çizerler.

Some boys play football near the wall. They shout and run fast. The ball sometimes goes near the girls. Defne and Zeynep laugh and move away.

Bazı erkekler duvarın yakınında futbol oynar. Bağırır ve hızlı koşarlar. Top bazen kızların yanına gider. Defne ve Zeynep güler ve uzaklaşır.

A teacher watches the children carefully. She sits on a bench near the door. She makes sure everyone is safe. She smiles when the children play happily.

Bir öğretmen çocukları dikkatlice izler. Kapının yakınındaki bankta oturur. Herkesin güvende olduğundan emin olur. Çocuklar mutlu oynadığında gülümser.

When the bell rings, the break ends. All the children go back to their classrooms. Defne is a little tired, but happy. She likes school very much.

Zil çaldığında teneffüs biter. Bütün çocuklar sınıflarına geri döner. Defne biraz yorgundur ama mutludur. Okulu çok sever.
