The First Snow

It is a cold morning in Erzurum. Kaan looks out of the window. There is snow everywhere! It is the first snow of winter.

Erzurum'da soğuk bir sabahtır. Kaan pencereden dışarı bakar. Her yerde kar vardır! Kışın ilk karıdır.

Kaan is very excited. He wakes up his little sister, Elif. "Look outside!" he says loudly. Elif jumps out of bed quickly.

Kaan çok heyecanlıdır. Küçük kız kardeşi Elif'i uyandırır. "Dışarı bak!" der yüksek sesle. Elif hızlıca yataktan fırlar.

The children wear warm coats and boots. Their mother gives them hot tea first. "Be careful outside," she says with a smile. The children run to the door.

Çocuklar sıcak montlar ve botlar giyer. Anneleri önce onlara sıcak çay verir. "Dışarıda dikkatli olun," der gülümseyerek. Çocuklar kapıya koşar.

Outside, everything is white. There is snow on the trees and on the cars. The street is quiet and beautiful. Kaan and Elif's breath makes little clouds in the air.

Dışarıda her şey beyazdır. Ağaçlarda ve arabalarda kar vardır. Sokak sessiz ve güzeldir. Kaan ve Elif'in nefesi havada küçük bulutlar yapar.

The children make a snowman together. They use a carrot for the nose. They find two small stones for the eyes. The snowman looks very funny.

Çocuklar birlikte bir kardan adam yapar. Burun için havuç kullanırlar. Gözler için iki küçük taş bulurlar. Kardan adam çok komik görünür.

Then, they have a snowball fight. They laugh and throw snowballs at each other. Their cheeks are red from the cold. They are very happy.

Sonra kartopu savaşı yaparlar. Gülerler ve birbirlerine kartopu atarlar. Yanakları soğuktan kırmızıdır. Çok mutludurlar.

In the evening, the family drinks hot chocolate together. They talk about the fun snow day. Kaan says, "Winter is my favorite season!" Everyone agrees happily.

Akşam aile birlikte sıcak çikolata içer. Eğlenceli kar gününden bahsederler. Kaan, "Kış en sevdiğim mevsim!" der. Herkes mutlu bir şekilde hemfikir olur.
