The national science required students to build a strong bridge using only paper and tape. The bridge had to carry heavy weights without breaking. Everyone brought metal or wood, but this contest was different.

The engineering team at the school library decided to design a bridge that looked like a honeycomb. They researched how bridges force. They folded the paper tightly to make it as strong as steel.

On the day of the test, other teams' bridges snapped easily. When it was their turn, the paper bridge held a book, then another, and another! The judges could not believe their eyes.

Their bridge carried the most weight. They realized that the of the paper was more important than the of the paper.

They won the competition because they studied engineering principles. They learned that with enough , you can build big things with the smallest materials.
